PhD Position in Mathematics (f/m/d) - Numerical Analysis (75%, TVL E13, up to 4 years)
The PhD student will learn the existing extensions of the time-dependent variational principle, transfer them to gaussian and tensor-based approximations, analyse the new methods and apply them to concrete quantum dynamical systems of interest. Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d) in the area of analysis of nonlinear Maxwell equations
Two analytical projects A5 and A6 treat Maxwell equations with various nonlinear materials laws.
In project A5 we are developing a wellposedness theory and study the long-time behavior of solutions. Within project A6 we prove the existence and properties of special waveforms like time-periodic localized waves or rogue waves.
